Why choose Sims Slabs?

We bring life back to wood that would otherwise be discarded. The stages of bowl production happen over the course of 1-2 years. They start on the lathe for a rough out of the shape. Each bowl is set aside to dry for at least a year to prevent future cracking and warping. After drying, the bowls are turned by hand on the lathe and sanded. We laser our logo onto the bottom of each bowl in-house. Finally, coated with a food-safe finish, each bowl is carefully handmade to feature the natural beauty of the wood. Sims Slabs brings you into the functional world of art and heirloom.

The Bowl is beautiful, and was shipped quickly and arrived ahead of schedule. That was Great - 5 stars for that. But the box it was shipped in was a bit narrow. Fortunately, the bowl was heavy enough to withstand the manhandling of the box by the USPS.

We make sure to choose boxes that ensure the bowls have adequate space, and we pack in extra cushioning at points where delivery services tend to be rough. Thank you again!
