sixstringphonic is taking a short break

Note from shop owner Well hello, thanks for stopping by! When I set my shop to "vacation mode" back in December 2020, I fully intended to re-open in January 2021. Unfortunately I found myself stuck on the wrong side of the country, away from all my inventory and supplies, and let's be honest - I was too stressed out to devote time to upkeeping the shop.

But 2022! I'd be back in 2022, I told myself, and started working on restocking my inventory, creating one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry from ancient Roman coins.

And then Etsy announced yet another fee increase for sellers (after posting record-breaking profits, no less). For a hobbyist like me, who got into this Etsy business for fun (and occasionally some extra pocket change), it's just not a sustainable model. And it's not fun, anymore.

So with that, after ten years, I must bid Etsy farewell. I hope to return one day, in the current economic climate, I cannot say when that will be.

My thanks to everyone who has visited over the years, and best wishes in your future endeavors.
