I started my journey in ceramics in 2007. Once I began playing in the mud I never really stopped. So eventually I pursued an education in the Ceramic Arts and left my small town in the rural snow capitol of Northern New York and ventured into the big apple to get my BFA at Pratt Institute. Since that time I have been a demonstrator for Standard Ceramic Supply in NYC, taught Adult Throwing Classes at Munson Williams Proctor, begun gathering supplies to create my own studio once I find a place large enough, started teaching ceramic kids classes, and became an instructor at an art summer camp.
Most of my work is closely entwined with the natural world and almost every piece features at least one creature. I also have a complete fascination with dinosaurs that I never quite grew out of like mother said I would 😜 I like to go big or go home, but unfortunately my current living quarters and shared studio space limits me to my much more reasonably sized cups, plates, and wall sculptures.
I am currently working on becoming more environmentally friendly! So I am moving towards recycled packaging and almost all recyclable materials!

I cannot wait to sip tea from this beautiful mug - and thank you for the extra trinkets!! The wee cuttlefish now has a place of honor in my growing collection.
