Frequently asked questions
I haven’t received my order
Unfortunately once I dispatch your order it is no longer in my hands. As per the Royal Mail terms and conditions you are required to wait at least:
United Kingdom - 14 days
Anywhere else - 6 weeks
This is because happy mail can get lost and then find its way home eventually - in the meantime we cannot ask Royal Mail for a refund.
If you have waited longer than these dates please don’t hesitate to contact me! Only then can we arrange a replacement/refund whilst I contact Royal Mail to open a case with their delivery services.
Covid-19 (2020)
During 2020 due to the pandemic, all order abroad the UK will be send tracked and paid for by the customer. UK buyers can upgrade their shipping to tracked however this is not standard. Standard shipping for Sparkles and Charms is first class post via Royal Mail.
All orders are delayed at this time - tracking an item does not guarantee faster shipping. Sparkles and Charms are processing orders on time - delays are with the shipping companies worldwide. Therefore, we appreciate your kindness, cooperation and patience at this time. Please do not order if you are not willing to possibly wait up to 6 weeks+ (worldwide) as Royal Mail are not giving guarantees as to how big their delays are at different times throughout the year.
Changing your details after purchase
Please make sure that your address and other details are correct BEFORE purchasing. As per my policies, it is a legal requirement that I allow you to change any information such as your address before your items are dispatched. However, I cannot guarantee that the shipping services won't copy your address from Etsy so please ensure you have redirected your post. If dispatched before you contact me I cannot offer a refund. If the item is returned to sender I will be happy to forward to your new address providing shipping is paid for.
If your item is lost in the post and you require a replacement, this CANNOT be sent to a new address and you will not be eligible for a refund.
My Item has arrived damaged
If your order arrives damaged please let me know immediately. I will require photographs of these items in order for me to correct the issue. Please note that refunds will not be given at this time and a replacement will be sent within 14 days of confirming the damaged goods.
Custom and personalised orders
Please note that the colours of my items vary depending on your monitor. I would recommend full screen brightness for a more realistic image. If you have any questions regarding the colours of an item before purchase please feel free to contact us. Refunds will not be given for this complaint, however you are more than welcome to return the item for a full refund, providing it is returned in the same condition and in its original packaging.
Custom Charges
Custom charges are required by your postal service and cannot be controlled by myself. The charges will be requested when the item reaches your sorting office and once paid will release your item for delivery. I am not in any way liable for these charges and they will need to be paid by the buyer.
I wasn't expecting Tracked Shipping
In some cases with orders above £20 I may decide to upgrade your shipping at my own expense. This is usually due to the fact that I cannot guarantee getting proof of postage for all orders.
Custom and personalised orders
If you would like to return an order please ensure it is in the original packaging, unused and in brand new condition. Please contact us before posting and obtain proof of postage, as you would need this to claim your money back if the item is lost. Claiming for a lost item is always the senders responsibility.
Once we have received your item and checked it is in the condition it was sent in (can take up 10 days) we will refund your order within 5 working days and Etsy will notify you. Timescales for the refund to reach your bank can vary, please see Etsy guidance for these timescales. Items returned damaged will not receive a refund.
Personalised items cannot be returned - including personalised items, swags or inserts.
