There's discarded beauty all around us. Whether it's earrings that found their way to a thrift store, or glass washed upon the shore, there's a lot that's taken for granted.

During my walks on the beaches of Lake Ontario, I began picking up those little jewels. The lake takes shards of glass and buffs them smooth, like a shimmering stone. These glass jewels are then perfect for making gorgeous pendants out of, using simple wiring to carefully emphasize their natural shapes.

Likewise, my walks through thrift stores and vintage shops have revealed a mountain of discarded jewelry. Sometimes something doesn't age well, or may be partially damaged. But to me, that just means there's something inside it waiting to be rescued.
