My interest in jewelry-making dates back to when I was eleven years old, and my mother signed up for a week-long summer art course at the Haliburton School of Art and Design. She asked if I wanted to take one of the concurrent kids’ courses, since she could drive me in to the art school as well as herself. I said yes, and signed up for a jewelry course… And the rest is history! I fell in love with wire-based jewelry and chain mail bracelets that summer. After a few years of making jewelry for pleasure, during which I improved my technique and developed my own original designs, I began selling my work at the Dicken’s Lane juried craft show in Dundas, Ontario (my then-home town). I continued with this for several years, then took a hiatus to focus on my university studies. After graduating in 2016, I am now revisiting my love of jewelry-making and revitalizing my jewelry business from my new home base: Ottawa.
