Our inspiration are all the precious micro preemie and preemie babies.
It all started when I had to resign from my previous job to recover from sickness. It also allowed to be a full time mom. As a hobby I began to crochet preemie babies clothes. I had learn crocheting when I was 8 years old but stopped crocheting for many years, only to pick crochet back up when I was expecting my precious gifted daughter. Since then I have been crocheting little bags, appliques for her dresses, and other hair accessories, just for her.
When I was a little girl, my grandmother always made me beautiful dresses, twirly skirts, and lots of clothes for my dolls. I completed my dolls outfits with tiny sweaters, booties and hats. All those childhood memories motive me to do the same for my daughter.
When I found myself with free time and unable to work not even part time as a Registered Nurse due to health situation. I started thinking and listening to my daughter's friends and the people around us complementing my daughter's outfits. SSCrafts was born. I have taken care of micro preemie, preemie and full term newborn babies in different hospitals in a variety of countries for years, so I know the sizes, kind of clothes and what materials to use for their clothes at the NICU and when they are ready to go home.
Then my mother joined the online store with our line of Preemie shirts/gowns NICU friendly and approved to be used by Premature babies around the country.
