Adding delight to the masking experience is really important to me; everyone who engages in disability justice deserves to feel cool, beautiful, and/or magical. When I see someone post a photo in our mask jewelry, my heart does a little cartwheel!
When I began this endeavor in August of 2024, I brainstormed so many different designs, wanting to create pieces that would work with the massive variety of mask shapes and styles out there. As a self-proclaimed fashionista, I got exhausted with the feeling that masks were changing the vibe of my outfits, sometimes making me feel like I looked too "sterile" or "clinical". I feel deeply that the experience of masking can feel elegant if a person so chooses! The pieces I design are perfect to wear for events like weddings, graduations, holidays, and any other special occasion for which you'd like to be as covid safe(r) as possible.
Perhaps our most ~famous~ design are our glimmering hand-beaded mask chains with little dangly chains and charms on each side. We've got variations of this design featuring freshwater pearls, glimmering Czech crystals in rainbow hues, and even hand-bedazzled charms!
