My Swatch Journey!
I started Swatch Me Designs as a side passion project in 2020 during the pandemic. I had lost one of my jobs during shut downs and needed to fill my time with something that both challenged me and fit into my life as a beauty content creator (since I would be relying on that job for a while!) I have always loved looking at swatches of makeup products on social media. I especially love seeing videos and pictures of eyeshadows on the explore page of Instagram. In the beginning of my career as a social media creator I always wondered how some of these swatches were SO perfect. I finally figured it out when I saw a swatch stencil in use for the first time. While yes, sometimes these immaculate swatches are photoshopped (which I don't agree with) often times they are the product of carefully placed stencils and a little patience. I decided to design my own vinyl makeup swatch stencils to use in my content. After I realized just how well they worked for me I decided to open my Etsy shop and drop a few packs of these stencils in case any other content creators, makeup enthusiasts or businesses were in need of these tools too! As it turns out, some people did need them! I have been happily restocking since then and hope to continue releasing designs whenever the inspiration hits. Thank you for stopping by!
