Love making people feel special :)
I have always loved celebrating events and hosting parties. From my son's Mad Scientist party where we made slime wearing lab coats to my daughter's holiday baking party where we all designed our own aprons, parties have always played a special place in our family.
My first crafting business was decorating Onesies and selling them at local craft shows. It was a lot of fun, sometimes made good money, sometimes barely made enough to cover the booth fee. Very fun, but having little children, I got burned out after about a year or so. Later, I began making personalized Hershey Bar wrappers. I wish I could remember my first one, but I knew that I had something that was pretty unique at the time. Still sold mostly through friends, family and craft shows. Then, I expanded to eBay and Etsy and did pretty well, but again, with 4 kids I had little time to do it all, so I gave up my business for a while. Now, my kids are older, and I have more time to devote to my business. So, I've been having a blast with all kinds of new products and themes. I really LOVE what I do.
I have a very hard working, funny and loving husband and four unique, creative, talented and loving children. I love to celebrate their achievements or to lift them up when they feel less than. So, when it's their birthday or graduation, etc. I work very hard to make them feel like the most special person in the world. They deserve it, right!
This is the same spirit I try to convey to every one of my customers. I never mind special requests or special orders and rarely have to charge any extra for these requests. It actually makes my job more interesting and then I end up using their requests or suggestions in my future orders :)
My husband has his own business and has always stressed the importance of great customer service as being his #1 marketing tool. If you give great service, then word spreads and you get more customers. Works much better than paying for advertising.
