My love for handcrafted artisan jewelry began while I was in college. I worked for a small business owner whose fabulous boutique carried the most amazing artisan jewelry. Working there really opened my eyes to the possibility of not only being a small business owner, but creating my own unique pieces of jewelry. It wasn't until many years later that I decided, with the support of my husband, to take the plunge and venture into the world of jewelry design. I am a self-taught jewelry artisan, and continue to expand my knowledge and try new techniques to keep my designs fresh. For over a decade now, I have sold jewelry both in person and online, and I am grateful to my countless loyal clients who have supported and continue to support my work.
I source my gemstones and materials from reputable suppliers that I've been working with for a number of years. When it comes to purchasing materials, I am very particular in what I choose to use in my designs. I want to offer my clients luxury gemstones, as well as high-end findings (chains, ear wires, clasps). The materials I purchase are those you would find being sold in high-end boutiques. Each gemstone, pearl and finding used in my jewelry is hand selected, leaving no small detail unattended. When you purchase a piece of jewelry from me, you are receiving something that was made with precision and care.
Besides exquisite gemstones, my other true love and passion is for antique and vintage pieces, particularly lockets. I spend a great deal of time searching for special pieces to re-invent, so that they can be worn and enjoyed by today's woman. There is something so special about mixing antique pieces that have a history and reinterpreting them for modern times.
Creating pieces that are wearable for every day is something I strive for; "casually elegant" pieces that can easily transition to formal or special occasions because they are classic in design. Knowing that a piece of my jewelry will always remain in style and can be worn effortlessly for years is important.
