About me
I had a very nerdy childhood spent reading books, doodling, playing video games, and writing stories.
As an adult, I still do all of those things, but somehow managed to take all of that inspiration and turn it into an art career :)
I love nostalgia, worldbuilding, and exploring. I feel perfectly at home in old museums, bookstores, and forests. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by trees, mountains, and the ocean, shaped an appreciation for nature as well as my color palette (which is why I never use bright colors in my art, because, *gestures at the gray clouds and rain outside*).
I create all of my art out of my home studio in Seattle, WA, which is a small cottage filled with antiques, plants and spiders (you will not receive any spiders in your order), which I share with my longterm partner and our shiba named Junji Ito. I primarily work with acrylic paints, and once in a blue moon, gouache. While most of my prints are from traditional media paintings, I also design many of my products on Photoshop or Procreate. I started this shop in 2012 while I was in college, and it's been an amazing ride ever since.
You can find my work here, in select brick-and-mortar shops, and at a handful of conventions around the country. All orders placed in the Etsy shop will be fulfilled by my warehouse, White Squirrel, who is located in Everett, Washington.
