A frog story
Once upon a time, there was a 3 year old little girl who filled the living room with origami frogs folded from a newspaper lying around. This little girl started school and soon afterwards found herself in the back of the classrooms, folding smaller and smaller cranes and flowers in order to avoid getting caught while passing the time during boring classes (there were many of those!)…
Later on, she discovered origami books at the library and gobbled up many more patterns; then came the internet with even MORE patterns (yes I am that old)!...
Strangely enough though, she couldn’t fold frogs anymore?!? o.O
Then one day, on the verge of the new millennium, being all grown up, she decided she would like origami earrings…
On and off, for the next decade she tested varnishes and glues, while honing her jewelry skills on her own; then one day it finally worked! Some pretty, sturdy origami earrings were born and she proudly started wearing them everywhere!!!
Then a weird thing happened, more and more random strangers kept stopping her to ask where she had bought her bright colored earrings…?! So, after a while of this, she did a small batch, bought some boxes and went to a small fair… From then on, she made more pieces, went to more fairs, opened up an Etsy shop, followed by a Facebook page, and created more items, and more and more!!!
And now?! The rest depends on you!...
