Hey there! I’m Korrin, the girl behind the Happi Hippo handbags!

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a little better.

When I first began this adventure, I was a stay-at-home mom of four. I was always looking for my ideal organizational and design elements in diaper bags, purses and wallets. I became frustrated when I couldn't find what I was really looking for and ultimately began creating my own. My mom had taught me the basics of sewing when I was a teen, but I was too busy thinking about other things...no, not boys!! ;) Other than that, I am a self-taught seamstress. Through many wonderful tutorials out there and trial and error, I absolutely fell in love with the process and well...here I am!

I named my shop The Happi Hippo in memory of my late dad. In many ways, he lived life large and always had a smile on his face. His friends called him the "Happy Hippo". :)

I love working with customers here on Etsy...who knew that collaborating on the creation of a handbag could often times turn into a new friendship!!

I am mom to four children; 28, 25, 23, 19, GiGi {grandma} to Ezra [5], and wife to wonderful, programmer/guitarist husband. I love to run, hike, bike, snow shoe; pretty much anything outdoors or in the beautiful Colorado mountains is right up my alley. You can also find me out and about on the town, dancing with friends and listening to my husband's band - The So What Brothers. Denver has much beauty and excitement to offer, all around.
