What is The Lotus Eclectic?
The Lotus Eclectic is a creative outlet for me and a store for you! You can expect me to gradually add more items as I continue creating at home. I enjoy creating things as the ideas come to me, but I also thrive off making other people's ideas reality. Don't hesitate to contact me about a custom design you've been dreaming up!

Origin Story
The Lotus Eclectic was born out of an opportunity to help a local non-profit with their fundraising efforts. Creating several custom totes sparked the desire to do something like this on a more consistent (although probably somewhat slow) basis. It's actually something I have considered off and on for years.

Who am I?
My name is Laura! I am a wife and mother of two rambunctious little boys. I think critically, love hard, and want to make the world a better place by building and deepening relationships. You'll undoubtedly see these values show up in some of my designs.

I find great joy in creating meaningful experiences and special things and by exploring new ways of doing that, I am learning to honor the artist within me.

What can you expect?
Products: I have such a diverse interest in both mediums and end products. You can expect I will create a wide variety of items to post in the store. You can also expect that I will probably want to try my hand at whatever you might be dreaming up! I know and can accept my limits and will not send out something I cannot do well.

Experience: I will interact with all customers with integrity. I will communicate directly and in as timely a manner as possible.

What's with the name?
For years now, the lotus has held great significance for me. I love that something so beautiful grows directly from the messy mud beneath it. As a symbol of rebirth, it perfectly symbolizes what this store is for me - the beginning of a new adventure in my life.

Indecision and FOMO are very real for me so "eclectic" is just the right word. I have been waiting to find "my style" or "my niche" before starting this journey, but it turns out I am going to have to do what I always do - learn by experience. I assume that will result in a rather eclectic store.
