Welcome to TheRugLand. I'm Eva, and I create custom upholstered furniture and textile-inspired home pieces designed for spaces that deserve something more personal than standard sizing.
My work began with a fascination for vintage rugs, kilims, traditional textile patterns, and the way color and texture can completely change the character of a room. Over time, that inspiration naturally evolved beyond rugs and into furniture.
Today, one of the most important parts of TheRugLand is my collection of custom-size upholstered benches, ottomans, window benches, piano benches, dining benches, stools, storage seating, and other made-to-fit furniture.
I especially enjoy creating pieces for spaces where standard furniture simply does not work.
A narrow hallway may need a very specific depth. A window seat may require an unusual width. A piano bench needs the right height. A bedroom may call for a long bench that fits perfectly at the end of the bed. These are the kinds of details I enjoy working with.
Many of my furniture designs can be adapted in width, depth, height, upholstery, leg style, wood finish, and selected construction details. If you have measurements, a reference image, a particular fabric idea, or even an unusual furniture concept, you are always welcome to share it with me.
Design is still at the heart of everything I create.
My collections draw inspiration from vintage textiles, kilim motifs, florals, geometric patterns, traditional decorative arts, contemporary interiors, and natural color palettes. Some pieces are quiet and neutral, while others are designed to become the focal point of a room.
Alongside my furniture collection, you will also find rugs, cushions, and decorative textile pieces that carry the same interest in pattern, texture, and distinctive interiors.
I believe furniture should not only look beautiful. It should make sense for the room in which it lives. Proportion, dimensions, comfort, function, and visual character all matter.
That is why custom work has become such an important part of TheRugLand.
