I come from a family of creative women. Both my grandmothers dabbled in a variety of arts and needle crafts, while my mother taught me to sew (sorry Mum for cutting into all your fabrics to make ra-ra skirts in the 80's while you were at work)
After studying fashion, I worked in several bridal workrooms then went on to work in childrenswear and maternity, before landing in soft furnishings. I currently run my own curtain workroom sewing for interior decorators in Brisbane.
And in my spare time I sew fun things such as clothing and bags. Ever the practical Virgo, I like my items to have a function and a purpose, while the fabric choices add colour and fun.
All the items in my shop are useful and help you organise your life in a creative way. I chose fabrics for their quirky patterns in fun bright colours because life is too short for boring beige!
Many of the items will have several uses such as the open boxes and baskets. These are fantastic on your desk to contain books, notepads and receipts, or use them as gift baskets and fill with thoughtful things for your loved ones. Repurposing is smart!
As a one woman show I don't aspire to be the next Kikki K, but I do aim to help you find the right piece to live a more organised life.
