A Cut Above
Hi, I’m Vesal and I cut paper. But it didn’t start that way…
I was always a crafty girl. If I weren't painting or sketching, I would be sitting at my fisher-price light table trying to copy images of cute elephants onto birthday cards. I even planned on having a card company when I became a grown-up. I knew my life would always be centered around art of some kind. Fast-forward and that little artistic girl decided to go to college for Mathematics…boo! What happened to that love of art? It became secondary. Once I realized what my life was missing, I decided to get a degree in Graphic Design. I’ve been freelancing for over 10 years now but still missed that hands on experience when it came to creating. I wanted to marry my left and right brain to live happily ever after. One year I received a cutting machine for my birthday and my die-cut dreams came true. It was a new world and I jumped right in. Now I’m doing things with paper I never dreamed of as a kid.
All of my designs are precise, detailed, elegant, and I’ll just say it…a cut above. My art can be anywhere from 1 layer to 100 layers of paper, with each layer thought out to a tee.
