If you have not yet seen an Ella Moses mosaic, then you are missing the glorious sunrise of one of the most gifted artists ever to break forth upon the scene. She has consistently produced works that are sure to take your breath away, and, to paraphrase Wordsworth, make your heart leap up with joy and piety. In this recent work -- inspired by motifs in the Jewish catacombs of Rome some two millennia old -- Ella Moses has recreated the Ark of the Covenant with the Ten Commandments, the Menorah, the rod of Aaron and pot of Manna, beneath the sheltering curtain of the tabernacle. The golden glass of this mosaic gleams in the morning sun much like the original artifacts must have done. It is a part of a series that Ella Moses has been creating for me, so this review shall be continued . . .

Ella Moses has taken my breath away with her glittering, mesmerizing works of beauty. They are masterpieces, and words won't do justice to describe how much I love them, and admire her abilities as an artist. Her skill as a colorist is second to none, and her glass works evoke for me such a vision of splendor-- a reverie of Israel's golden age or of ancient Near Eastern civilization in general, once upon a time in our remotest past. But her works are not merely copies of time-honored artifacts -- she has taken an ancient medium and created entirely original works of art. Happily her mosaics have also been set on a solid foundation. That will help ensure that the pieces will long endure, as they so deserve to do! Ella Moses is to be congratulated on her wonderful achievement!

I put this unique peacock outside my home as a welcome sign. It picks up the sunlight beautifully. The artist was a delight to work with and I received it remarkably fast.
