International Shipping and Customs
Please check your specific country laws on importing any seeds you wish to order. Some seeds can not be shipped to countries outside of the USA. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the seeds purchased can travel clear through customs. Some countries specify that the customer apply for a permit through the countries department of agriculture prior to importing seeds.
If the customer's order is rejected at customs and therefore not delivered to the customer-Whimsical Windchimers will be returned the package. Many international orders take 1-3 months before being returned to the sender. Whimsical Windchimers will not reship or refund the customer order until the seeds have been received by and returned to the sender.
Guarantee on Seeds
All seeds sold are with no guarantee. Whimsical Windchimers does not post germination percentages, and is not responsible for germination percentages once the customer accepts the seeds. We can not refund orders or resend seeds due to low germination or zero germination success. Customers should have these recommended items when starting seeds, including but not limited to: seed starter pods or mix, a light source, and a supply of water for successful germination.
Claims
Whimsical Windchimers products are sold "as is" without warranty-expressed or implied-as to the description and productiveness. Goods must be inspected by the customer upon arrival and claims for condition made at time of receipt. We are unable to consider claims after products have been stored, or in the case of seeds-planted. Claims for any and all causes must be submitted in writing within 3 days of arrival, a period of time expressly agreed as reasonable. If the customer does not give such notice, the customer agrees to have unconditionally and irrevocably accepted the purchased products.
Hybridization and Purity
Seed species and purity, when mentioned is for customer information only and without guarantee. Whimsical Windchimers is not responsible for the hybridization process-which is often unforeseen-in spite of all the care taken in regard to selection of our original seed source.
Glassine vs. Plastic
Plastic jewelry bags have been used to ship seeds since opening in 2018. Customers will notice a transition to glassine bags in order to reduce surpluses of single-use plastic. This transition will take place through 2019 and beyond. Whimsical Windchimers is proud to be taking this small step to support our planet on a larger scale!
Shipper Undeliverable Returns
If a package is returned due to refusal of shipment or undeliverable address, you will be notified when it is received by the seller. For reshipment of the package the customer will be required to submit a payment for the original shipping charges and applicable new shipping charges. For refusal of a package we reserve the right to assess up to a 50% restocking fee.
Wrong Address Charges
We reserve the right to assess up to a 50% fee for an incorrect shipping address. This is a rare occurrence and we will attempt to contact the customer before the package ships if the address appears incorrect.
Package Lost Due to Incorrect Address
If your package is lost due to an incorrect address and the package is not recoverable, we cannot be held responsible. We will need to place another full charge order if you want the order shipped to the correct address. We reserve the right to not issue refunds for address mistakes that are not in our control.
Free Shipping Guarantee
Whimsical Windchimers is proud to offer a Free Shipping Guarantee on all orders. Wild Harvest Seed orders with a subtotal of less than $5.00 USD are shipped via USPS First Class Mail, utilizing Non-Machineable Postage. Buyers can expect standard delivery estimates of 5-10 business days after processing.
Non-Machineable Postage helps keep our prices low, and ensures that seed orders are sorted outside of the normal automated delivery process to protect seeds in transit. However, tracking information can not be provided for orders within the aforementioned parameters.
