Everyday Enchantments Grown out of the Darkness
Wild Kalmia started from my love of simple, meaningful rituals and finding magic around every corner. I’ve always believed that everyday moments like lighting a candle, arranging an altar, or holding a charm that feels right in your hand can help us feel more connected to ourselves and the world around us (parts known and unknown)
The name comes from the mountain laurel, a resilient flower (my namesake) that thrives in unexpected places. It is associated with protection, ambition, and sometimes even deceit! As a creator, I love the interplay between light and shadow and the duality we all carry. I carry a lot of that as a double gemini. I have a complicated past (as we all surely do) and have been to the pits of despair and darkness, but it showed me how to resurface and really savor the beauty of our magical lives.
Each piece I make or source, spell jars, candles, altar tools, paintings, or collage, is created or chosen with intention. I focus on crafting things that feel whimsical, honest, and alive. Every item is meant to support your own practice, in whatever way feels true to you.
Wild Kalmia is about bringing a little calm and a little fierceness into the spaces you already occupy. Let's take up space and make some magic.
