Thank you for visiting our little shop.
Just by way of a little advice to potential clients, in order to make sure you receive your wedding invitations in plenty of time to send out to your guests, we currently require SIX weeks' notice to feed your order into our workstream. Timescales for products such as our very popular wedding poems and the Heidi Swapp Minc Foiling Machine are not affected by this and are displayed along with each of these products.
So, basically, work out the date you want your stationery to be delivered to you and then six calendar weeks before that date is really the last date you should place your order to ensure delivery on time. To be honest, it's never too early to get in touch. We're always happy to discuss your specific design requirements and, if you're local, you can pop in and see Lynne too for a chat over a little refreshment!
Our acrylic designs are increasingly popular, we can offer a range of sizes and styles including, clear, frosted, black gloss and white gloss. Many of our existing card designs can be produced on acrylic too. We can print on acrylic in full colour, including white print and also apply foiling to some designs. For clients who like to make their own stationery, we have imported another batch of Heidi Swapp Hot Foiling (MINC) Machines from the US. These machines are the Large (12") size, made to UK electrical specifications, easy to use and very popular amongst crafters and other hobbyists.
Your special day means so much to friends and family too and, with this in mind, Lynne has created a range of beautiful poems to be given as gifts to those closest to you to say just how much their love and support really mean. We will happily modify and personalise your poem to address it to whomever you want and it is available in a range of colours. Please get in touch to find out more.

Custom and personalised orders
Almost all of our products are customised and so the pictures and descriptions we display on Etsy are offered as typical and accurate examples of each product type.
Samples of any of our products (except Table Plans) can be ordered to allow you to examine them up-close and we encourage customers to do this (see also our note about colours below). We will charge you the price indicated in our Etsy shop for each sample we provide.
If, after receiving a sample, you subsequently decide to place an order for 20 or more units of one of our products, we'll credit the charge for the sample of that product against the charge for your finished order.

How long does an order take to make and supply?
This can vary depending on a number of factors like how busy we are when you place an order and also whether we need to source materials we don't hold in stock to fulfil your order.
If you can give us an idea of which products you are interested in and how many of each you require, we'll be able to give you an estimate of when you can expect delivery.
Delays in delivering your final proofs for approval (and, hence, final order delivery) can occur where certain vital details, such as event location, menu details, transport details, etc have not been finalised by the customer. Payment in full will be due before any order is dispatched.
For delivery of orders or parts of orders we will normally use courier signed-for delivery with tracking.
Can I visit you at your shop?
We are a home-based business so we don't have a shop as such but we DO have a studio building in our garden - the Cherry Tree-House.
Under normal circumstances we are delighted to welcome customers and potential customers to our pod to discuss their wedding stationery ideas over a drink and a nibble. At the moment however, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have to ask you to check the local restrictions before arranging a visit with us.
Can I get to see my stationery before I pay for my order?
Absolutely!
For orders other than individual samples and items like Table Plans we will supply you with a proof copy of one of each item in your order to check all the details are exactly as you want them before we start production. For items like a Table Plan we will supply you with detailed photos of each component to check spelling etc before final fixing.
Once you are completely happy everything is in order, we ask you to sign an order contract confirming that all the final proofs are correct and at that point we will begin production of your order and will require payment in full at that point.
Your order can't be cancelled once we have started production. Returns are not accepted but this does not affect your statutory rights.
Do you charge VAT?
Currently, Cherry Tree Card Company does not require to register for VAT according to HMRC regulations and so we do not charge VAT on our products and services.
Why do so many of your products show only one available?
All of our stationery is made-to-order and customised specifically to the requirements of each customer and so most products are listed as as only one available in stock simply to demonstrate a typical and accurate example of each product.
A word about colours...
Please be VERY careful choosing specific colours just by viewing them on your screen. If you look at the same picture from the same website on your smartphone, tablet and desktop you will probably notice subtle (sometimes not-so-subtle) differences in the colour or saturation.
The *actual* colour of our products is best viewed directly by you in natural daylight. Even different types of electric lighting can change the appearance of the colour of card and ribbon.
For these reasons, we normally suggest that potential customers who are local to us visit us at the Cherry Tree-House (COVID-19 restrictions permitting) to view and handle the products or, if that is impractical, to order samples to examine at home before placing an order.
Pricing, special offers and discounts
The price we display on our Etsy shop products is for the production and supply of ONE item of each product. Given the nature of our products, our customers don't really order only one item (unless it's a sample) and so orders for large numbers of a product can attract a discount. We are always happy to discuss how we can work within your budget.
From time to time we will have special offers and discounts available for orders over a certain total value or over a certain number of items. We regularly post details of new products and special offers on our Facebook page.

Can you create stationery from my own design or one I've seen elsewhere?
Yes, we can do this but there's two important points to note.
Firstly, if you want us to create a prototype of a new design that we don't currently offer in our Etsy shop, we will give you a quotation of the cost of creating the prototype and supplying you with photos and/or sending a sample to you. If you go on to place an order with us for 20 or more copies of the new design, we will refund the prototyping fee as part of the order.
Secondly, we cannot and will not try to copy someone else's work as there are potential legal implications in doing so. We know that we wouldn't like this happening to us and so we will always take great care in this regard.

Can you make stationery using non-English languages?
Yes we can, but please note that all of our prices shown on Etsy are based on printing using English (Latin) characters. If you ask us to produce stationery in a language other than English, we *may* not have any digital character fonts in our collection that support your chosen language and design.
If this is the case we will try to source a font that supports your language and is also suitable for your chosen design. We may have to charge you for the purchase of a licence to use any new font required plus any other work we need to do to alter our English-based design.
We will always send you a quote for any additional costs via Etsy messaging before we start any work so you can decide whether to proceed with your order or to cancel it.
