Hello and welcome to Nog Pepper Me!
During 2012 I became really poorly after trying to ignore long term auto-immune health issues resulting in me no longer being able to work in IT, as a Business Intelligence Manager. My health didn't leave me many options but I knew I couldn't just do nothing forever, my creative mind wanted to be busy and it's a great way to distract me from suffering with chronic pain. So I started to sew and draw, there was no real goal to meet I just loved trying different crafts. I did design and publish my first colouring book which I really enjoyed doing.
In 2015 I gave embroidery a try, I hadn't embroidered before other than my school days when I embroidered my jeans. It wasn't until the end of 2016 I decided to explore creating some embroidery designs for patterns and kits. My first kit was Felix Fox, and since then I've been trying to balance my health (sometimes not very successfully!) and creating new designs.
In 2022 I made the difficult decision that I couldn't keep up with creating new embroidery kits and designs all the time and packing kits wasn't what I really wanted to do. It was then I decided to retrain as a Menopause Coach. It was through this training I learnt that If I had, had more information when I was first diagnosed as perimenopause in my late 30's then I might not have had to give up work in 2012! It was a shock to learn this and it's one of the reasons I want to help other women through this transition time, so that no-one suffers like I did. So with my menopause coaching and t-shirts for humour, everything has changed at Nog Pepper Me. We still have the same values to bring you quality products and that's why we've teamed with Teemill to print our t-shirts. They only use organic cotton and sustainability is a priority to them. This is a new chapter in my life and it's very exciting.
So where did my shop name come from?
It's named after my two American Curls Nog and Pepper. Ever since I finished work they have been my companions and on days when I can't do a lot due to my health you will find the three of us sat on the sofa with Nog leaning against me, Pepper in the middle and then me. So that's where Nog Pepper Me comes from!

PS not forgetting Jomo, a Siberian who loves to greet everyone and keep my lap warm! We now also have Ziggy and his younger brother Cass, who are both American Curls just like Nog and Pepper.
