Owning a stationery company has always been a dream that has lingered in the back of my mind... I love love love pretty paper and good typography and have always been fascinated with tactile products such as greetings cards and wedding invitations.

When I was about 7, my sister and I decided that we were going to start our own company called 'Fabs Stationery'. We designed lots of cards and letter paper on Microsoft Publisher and sold them to unsuspecting relatives for a bit of pocket money.

Years later, the idea of designing pretty things for people still remained, and after getting a first class degree in Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading I worked for 2 years as a graphic designer for a small design agency and took on a few freelance projects on the side.

In September 2015, I decided to pursue my dreams of owning a business full time, so I left my design job and Paper Cafe was born! Since then I've had so much fun designing things like Christmas cards and wedding invitations, and I'm so excited that I get to do what I love and make pretty things to go on pretty paper. :-)
