Inspired by the positive energy of the outdoors, Moon & Mountains Clay Designs, hand make clay keepsakes for sentimental and joyful gift giving.
Moon & Mountains Clay Designs first started life as “Made with Love”, making personalised salt dough decorations made for close friends as new baby gifts.
Upon seeing the gifts, my mum encouraged me to explore it more. Salt dough didn’t seem overly professional and to be honest the finish was terrible - I still do not know to this day how people get their salt dough ornaments looking nice and white!! Deciding to pick up some air hardening clay and have a play, the beginnings of Moon & Mountains Clay Designs were forming.
With a creative background in textiles and childrenswear, and after the long journey to having my little boy, I wanted to find work that would fit in with my creative background and with my new family life. My mum has always been my main cheerleader and before long, with her encouragement, I set up my little business making clay decorations.
Over the last three years my work, having started off with making personalised stars, has evolved to making pieces that are focused around positivity and providing that little life we all need sometimes. I find great joy in the outdoors and nature so I understand how important positive experiences help to create a happier life. I hope that my designs can help to remind people of some of the joy and happiness in life.
Everything is handmade so you can be sure that it will be a unique item made with a great deal of attention to finish. Text is hand stamped and my products are available to personalise, so you can create a special gift to be loved and treasured. Whilst my name has changed each piece is still very much made with love, providing the perfect gift to bring happiness into the home. I happily create bespoke items for a variety of occasions and I enjoy creating pieces that I know people will treasure and bring joy. I also design and source my own custom made cutters for completely one of a kind gifts.
