the ‘seaspaghetti’ identity came about during my time at university, where i was studying animation. though my main profession is in animation, i have always enjoyed gifting art and crafts things that bring joy to people i love and i wanted to spread that same joy to more folk, thus, the seaspaghetti shop was born.
- the meaning behind the name is simple: i just stuck together two things that make me happy :o)
my shop opened in 2022 around halloween, with spooky-themed items to fit. there were prints and stickers, but most excitingly… a limited number of my very own mothman plushies! created from scratch, from design, to pattern, to fabric selection, etc.
i learnt sewing and textiles as a teen at school and have been forever grateful as those skills provided me with the foundation to create wonderful soft, squishy and fluffy friends!
cut to present-day… my experience and my philosophies have evolved, and with them, the type of creations i produce. i still love to design stickers, art prints, and sew occasionally, but in 2025 i discovered many art processes and techniques that were new to me. one in particular was the freedom of zine making.
i held my first stall at the over here zine fest in october, 2025 and, through the creative process leading up to the event and during the fest itself, my worldview was expanded by the people i met and spent time with. i gained a new respect for the art of printing, traditional and digital (risograph, i fell in love with), and a whole new approach to making. a fresh era of creativity blossomed and i am excited to continue sharing my art with you, old and new, in the seaspaghetti shop.
