Delivery

I am based in the UK and ship overseas parcels by International Standard (formerly known as Airmail) Buyers are responsible for any customs charges which may be incurred and unfortunately I cannot mark parcels as gifts, sorry about that. I post items First Class within the UK. If you would like your item to be sent by recorded delivery please get in touch and this can be arranged for an extra fee.

Your embroidery will be carefully wrapped for its journey to you.

I don't routinely include invoices in parcels, but if you would like me to send one just ask :)

If you have any concerns about how long your parcel is taking to arrive, or if you believe it has gone missing, please don't hesitate to send me a message.

Additional policies and FAQs

It is very important to me that you are happy with your purchase, so if you have any problems, questions or comments at all about my embroideries or patterns please do feel free to send a message to me :)

FAQ

How do your PDF patterns work?
When you purchase a PDF pattern from my Etsy shop, you will be able to download two files: one containing the pattern itself, along with information about how to stitch it, and one containing a stitch guide, which will tell you how to do some basic embroidery stitches. The PDFs will require a programme such as Adobe Reader to open in. It is best to view the pattern at 100% so you are seeing the images in the size they were intended.

Patterns can be printed to allow them to be easily transferred onto fabric using the method described or a method of your choice, and also to allow you to refer to the instructions off screen. Each page is A4 size, so to ensure your pattern prints at the right size, chose A4 paper and select 'fit to size' or select A4 sized paper and print at 100%. The PDFs can also be viewed on phones and tablets which have appropriate PDF viewing software, this can be useful if you like to carry your stitching with you away from the computer.

What if I need more help stitching a pattern I have purchased from you?
You are always welcome to get in touch if you need any extra advice and assistance for stitching a pattern. There is no time frame for this, even if you purchased the pattern a year ago and are only just getting around to stitching it, you are still welcome to get in touch.

Do you take custom orders?
I do take on some custom orders for bird embroideries and also occasionally other hoop art; if you have something in mind, feel free to drop me a message :) I love to stitch up my bird designs, so if you'd like a bullfinch, puffin or indeed any other bird for your wall but don't want to stitch it yourself, I can make one for you :)

How should I care for a piece of embroidered hoop art which I have purchased from you?
To clean embroideries it is best to use a very soft dry cloth rather than a damp one to gently remove any dust. Very soft clean makeup brushes work well too. Although I use quality threads and fabrics, it is a good idea to keep your new embroidery out of direct sunlight as all textiles can fade.

-

Please note that my work is not recommended for young children due to small parts such as beads etc.

I include a number of photos in my listings in an attempt to show the colour of my items accurately, however colours can vary between monitors so the embroidery may appear to be a slightly different colour in real life. If you happened to purchase an item and were unhappy with this in any way I would of course be happy to work with you to try to find a solution.

It would be lovely to know when your item has arrived safely and if you're happy with it; feedback is always much appreciated!

This privacy policy sets out what personal information I receive from Etsy when you place an order, and how I use it. I take privacy very seriously indeed, and am dedicated to keeping your personal information safe and secure.

The information below covers how I personally use and protect your data, but you may also wish to view the Etsy privacy policy, for information about how they might collect or store any information relating to you when you interact with a Etsy https://www.etsy.com/uk/legal/privacy/

Under Article 6 of The GDPR, the lawful basis on which I process personal data received from Etsy is that of “Contract” - whereby processing is necessary in order for me to be able to fulfill buyer orders and enquiries.

What data will I receive relating to you when you place an order in my shop?

When you place an order from my shop through Etsy, I receive personally identifiable information from Etsy only when it is voluntarily submitted by you when placing an on-line order. How do I use your data?

I will use the data you provide via Etsy for the express purpose of:

Contacting you about your order: ie to thank you for your order and offer support should it be required

Fulfilling your Etsy order: In the case of physical goods (ie, not digital downloads) I also need to pass your name and address data to trusted third party companies, such as shipping companies, eg Royal Mail or a courier, to allow them to process and deliver your parcel. In the case of digital items, occasionally if there is a problem with the Etsy downloads system, I may need to use your email address to send your pattern to you.

Contacting you in the unlikely event that there is a problem with your order.

Sharing information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.

Compliance with laws: I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

I do not store your information anywhere outside of where it is displayed to me through the Etsy website, nor will I ever sell it, share it with a third party other than in those situations referred to above or use it to contact you for any reason other than relating directly to your order.

Under GDPR you are entitled to contact me to obtain a copy of any data concerning you (data that I will have received when you placed an order via Etsy from my shop) and to have any inaccuracies in the data rectified. That said, I do not hold any data outside of Etsy (ie, your data is stored on Etsy) but should you wish to have information which you have submitted to Etsy rectified or deleted you are welcome to contact me and I will advise you how to contact Etsy to make that happen.

If you have any questions please do always feel free to ask :)
