I think it’s really important to get to know who you are buying from, so I wanted to delve into my past a little and share it with you so you can see how my journey led to painting pregnancy & motherhood art pieces.

I was born in Yorkshire, 1981, where I commenced my art education and career. I completed a National Diploma in Art at Leeds College of Art and Design in 2001, yet immediately went on to embark on a digital marketing career for the next 14 years! I then started my own Social Media Marketing business in 2015, which led to awards & recognition at No. 10 Downing Street and was a great success. However, art continued to be my burning passion and I wanted to ditch the money-focused lifestyle for a laid back life of an artist, so I slowly started to build a second business as an artist in 2017 which became full time in 2020.

I have tried and tested a multitude of techniques over the years including the hugely successful digital portraits sold between 2020-2021; prior to that I replicated marble and mineral patterns using a combination of acrylics and resin on huge canvases.

However, it was the losses of our two babies in 2017 and 2019 that sparked what my business is now. After the first loss, I had an overwhelming urge to paint, so I got our 3 month ultrasound in front of me, with tears tripping me, and started painting a copy of it. This is where and how the ultrasound paintings were born. I wanted to create a lasting memory of ultrasound photos, not only to remember ones we’ve lost but as beautiful gifts for newborns. My paintings available in many sizes, make for such a thoughtful gift to a loved one who's expecting, for yourself ready to frame in the nursery, as a gender reveal after your gender scan or as a memory gift following a loss.

My distinctive watercolour representation of the scans have been recognised by Barnsley Hospital where two of my pieces are hung in the Rainbow Room for families who have lost babies, and uplifting Mother & Child wall murals in the newly launched Maternity Ward.

Thankful that I am now able to pursue art every day, I am so blessed to finally have my Rainbow Baby (Bertie, born in July 2020) by my side every day whilst I paint, and relive memories through each and every one of you.
