If you're into astrology, I'm a true Gemini! We can never remain still! We love to create and have an insatiable curiosity about––everything. And I wouldn't change if I could. My interests range from archaeology to yoga. My quest to learn as much as I can has led me all over the world. As an archaeologist and professor, I excavate regularly in Jordan and have had the wonderful pleasure of living in Israel, working in Brazil, Spain, Italy, and a host of other places.
I am also a professional musician (flute and sax) and composer. Writing and performing music allows me another means to share views and perspectives of the world we're all trying to navigate.
One of my biggest passions is having good health and maintaining it naturally. I’m pretty hardcore about this. I was a sickly kid––chronic ashtma, annual bouts of strep throat and the flu, perpetual colds, allergies––you name it, I had it. But I always had this nagging curiosity about diet and health and its connection to how one feels. My health and wellness journey started in my last year in high school, when I began reading short books and pamphlets. In college I semi-consciously changed my eating habits by eliminating pork, then red meat, chicken and fish, and eventually nearly all animal products. My parents had a fit. My mother thought I joined a cult! But the change worked for me. I haven't had an asthma attack in years––doctors told me I would have asthma for the rest of my life––and I haven't had the flu in well over 20 years, and I’ve never had a flu shot. I continue to put in the research, study, energy to find out works best for me, and it’s a pleasure and a duty to share what I’ve learned with others. Consequently, we created the AYGET? website to share, talk with, and learn from anyone who shares an interest in health and wellness. I’ve been on the health and wellness journey a long time. I constantly read numerous books and articles, and tirelessly to work to learn as much as I can.
Everyone has to do what works for them, but do something! Stop with the excuses! Think about this. To not take care of yourself is selfish. If you don’t take care of yourself, remember that at some point, someone will have to use their time and energy to take care of you.
All of our AYGET? products are handmade. In most cases, we are able to use organic ingredients. We also put a bit of TLC, as we want the best for you! We look forward to you becoming a part of the AYGET? family!
