I have wanted to add this verse to a photo to create a scripture picture for a long time, but I wasn't sure what photo to use. I like to select a photo that "speaks" of the scripture. We had a visiting minister at my church earlier this month and he used these verses as part of his sermon. Traveling to my daughter's home recently, I crossed over the Belton Dam and noticed a parking area that would allow a safe area to photograph from. My thought was to photograph the lake at sunset. Anyone who has photographed a sunset knows there must be several things that must take place to capture the best photo. It's best to check a weather app to find the time the sun is expected to set. (Which we know is actually the earth turning that causes the "disappearing" of the sun.") You have to take multiple photos quickly as the sun appears to set very quickly. Clouds make for a gorgeous sunset and the lack of them, while still beautiful, can lead to flare if the sun is above the horizon. Then again, too many clouds block the sun completely. I did not want boats or the like stirring up the water because I wanted a clear path of the sun across the water. I wanted to get there well before sunset to check out the landscape to include some parts and exclude other parts. This is a popular site for photographers and lovers as well and I had to find the best spot to put my tripod. I watched the sky often during the day with hopes that the clouds would stay around. Two hours before sunset, a huge blanket of dark clouds hung along the horizon in the west and I was somewhat disappointed that it all might not work out. I needed to go back home soon and partly cloudy days were coming to an end according to the forecast. Then, about 45 minutes before sunset, I glimpsed the sun. I grabbed my camera and tripod. My son-in-law, Josh drove and my daughter, Lynn and her daughter, Joslyn came along. This is my pic of all the photos that I took that evening. One of my repeat customers and Etsy friend was looking for photos to purchase. I had not added this SP yet and attached a copy and asked if he wanted to include it. It seems he was asked to teach at his church for his Sunday School pastor and when he asked what verses he would be teaching, he was told John 14!! Another amazing thing that happened with these verses...I got home from my trip and our minister of music gave us an anthem that had these verses and had been written for a dear friend in our choir who passed away almost a year ago. I love it when God's hand is so definitely in the making of one of these scripture pictures!

These Scripture Pictures frame beautifully. They also make great additions to cards. One of these pics in a clear acrylic frame makes a thoughtful gift for a friend or family member sick in the hospital or at home, or on a desk at work. Some of my friends put them in a small photo album and use them during their devotion time.
