Mi madre Doris y yo decidimos hace unos meses que sería una linda idea vender juntas nuestros artículos hechos a mano.
Abrí mi tienda de Etsy a principios de 2016 y, poco después, a mi madre le fascinó la idea de vender online. Pero Doris y las computadoras no se llevan muy bien, así que unimos fuerzas.
Pero primero, tuve que mudarme de ciudad. Viví en Colonia, Alemania, durante casi 9 años y mis padres aún viven en Friedberg, Hesse, la ciudad cerca de Fráncfort donde crecí. Se presentó una oportunidad laboral poco después de abrir mi tienda y, en julio, finalmente volví a casa. Después de eso: instalarme, cambiar el nombre de la tienda, renovar la imagen, las fotos y los precios... hubo mucho trabajo por hacer, pero después de todo eso, ¡finalmente cambiamos el nombre de FransMacrame a Jewel&Knit!
Tengo algo de experiencia con las ventas online: tras abrir otra tienda online en 2015 y fracasar estrepitosamente, me tomé un descanso. Este descanso terminó oficialmente cuando abrí FransMacrame en Etsy, que luego se convirtió en lo que ahora puedes ver: ¡Jewel&Knit!

My mother Doris and I decided a few month ago that it would be a lovely idea to sell our handmade items together.
I've started my etsy shop at the beginning of 2016 and shortly after my mom was fascinated with the idea of selling online. But, Doris and computers don't get along very well, so we joined forces.
But first, I had to move towns. I had lived in Cologne, Germany for almost 9 years and my paretns still live in Friedberg, Hesse, the town close to Frankfurt that I grew up in. A job opportunity accured shortly after I had opened my shop and in July I finally moved back home. After that: settling in, renaming the shop, rebranding, pictures and prices - a lot had to be done, but after all that we finally renamed FransMacrame into Jewel&Knit!
I've had some experience with online selling: After opening a different shop in 2015 online and failing miserably, I took a break. This break was officially over, when I started FransMacrame on etsy, which then became what you can see now: Jewel&Knit!
