Hi, I’m Ian ‘Roy’ Widger, owner, founder and the ‘ideas’ man within GENDERTAG - not to be confused with my cousin Ian ‘James’ Widger, co-founder and Marketing guru.
If I were to ask someone close to précis my life in a ‘Bio’ they would probably say ‘Ian is a rare mix of academic and practical hands-on, all rolled in to one’ ….and I would happily accept that. Throughout my life I have enjoyed academic study, spending time in product design, development and innovation and deriving outcomes that have been genuinely life improving. Working with my hands and ‘creating’ is something I enjoy the most and this is especially true when I use leather. Designing, finding solutions and translating ideas into reality is what I do best. Doing so, with a strong moral compass and with the aim of achieving positive, measurable outcomes to ‘make the world a better place’, is immensely rewarding. It was from these foundations that GENDERTAG was borne. Drawing on the experience and skill sets of all involved and feedback from family and focused Research groups, GENDERTAG seeks to support every gender type and, in particular, the LGBT community through offering quality, branded, visually expressive fashion accessories that can be personalised and which help define you and how others see you. After all, the freedom to be "you" and the right of self- expression is a human right that we all cherish.
At GENDERTAG I am honoured to be a part of your journey as you make some of life's most intimate choices and our fashion accessories will help you do this in ways that are Simpler than Words.
